At what age can you race a tvr ?

Hi Guys

We are looking to start racing next year (after moving on from many track days and a season in time attack)I am more interested in letting my son drive,Please let me explaine,he is 16 yrs old ,17 next may,he has raced karts for a few years and has just finished his last season in Super 1 DD2 (the fastest rotax class)he has held a nat A kart licence for a number of years and has had no endorsments (which is rare in karting)we are both taking our ARDS test at oulton park on the 16th of November so he will have a full msa race licence for cars once he passes the car ARDS test.Any advise would be appreciated.

as soon as he has his ARDS and full license your lad can race in the championship.

When you say full license do you mean race license or dvla license ?

Its great to see that this series is attracting young drivers. Get your ARDS tests passed, grab yourselves a TVR each, Class A, B, or C, and come racing!! That would be just something else, a father and son racing in the same championship

• admittedly they share a car but we already have the Wright father/son partnership .. another one would be fab though!

Been trying to persuade the missus to come racing but not succeeding on even getting her driving on a trackday yet...

You could give Tony Abrams a call at Hexham Horseless carriages. Tony has a couple of race prepared tasmins which are gathering dust. One could well be a very good cheap way into Class C next year. I know he doesn't want much for them and they would be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying and then prepping a road car.

Looking around the paddock, it seems you can still do it at about 70
