Helmet question

Guys, question for you all...

I've been meaning to ask this for a while - in the likes of atoms / aero-caterham etc, would one be better wearing a motorbike helmet, or car helmet?

I don't have any first-hand experience of the difference between to two types, but from what I've read the main differences are that motorcycle helmets have a wider visor to give more peripheral vision and they don't have fireproof lining like car helmets do. They're approved to different standards and if you're using it for car racing you'll need one that's approved to one of the relatively recent car standards. If you're only using it for the road, I don't imagine there'll be much difference in practice.

Nearly all Atom owners use bike helmets as the larger visor apeture gives better vision which is more important on the road. I think to race properly a car helmet would be required.
