Joining Jeson Button & Andy Priaulx in one GB team, David Coultard will race alongside a yet-to-be-confirmed team mate?

Can only be one choice surely?

I'd love to see Hamilton pair up with Coulthard. If not Hamilton, then what other drivers could do it?

By the way, Australia is being represented by Mark Webber and Troy Bayliss. I'd have preferred to see Chris Atkinson or one of the V8 folks, but Bayliss is a good superbike racer.

There will only be one reason Lewis woul not do it. The conversation would go:

LH: So who's my teammate?
ROC bloke: Well we thought about it long and hard, and David Coulthard will be alongside you
LH: Oh fk

For me, only one GB team is needed to totally dominate everyone: Lewis Hamilton + The Stig.

I wouldn't expect to see 3 out of 4 GB drivers from F1 tbh. I would suspect the fourth would be James Toseland or someone from another genre.

what are you talking about "in his interest" now?? he's just had confirmation that he's the best driver in the world. he's dating a beautiful woman. he's now on holiday. Why would anyone want to give up his nice, warm winter relaxation for a very cold, wet December night in London?? So you can think better of him??

Perhaps because it's meant to be the Race of Champions - doesn't really mean much without the F1 world champion. Chance for some fun, chance to prove himself against other series racers. As a competitive driver, I reckon he'll jump at the chance.

Was not allowed last year, also he was not allowed to race Jenson in case he lost.

I think it would be a rally driver or touring car.

IINM there's normally not 2 drivers from the same discipline

Saying that, it's all for fun at the end of the day so if they could get Lewis alongside DC I'm sure they'd go for it

EDIT - come to think of it, won't Jenson and Andy be Team England and DC run alongside another driver for Team Scotland?

In the same way that he used to run with Colin McRae?

That was what they did for last years race too, where DC was joined by Colin's Brother Alistair.

Race of Champions is on the same night as Sports Personality of the Year where I suspect LH must be in the running. Sports Personality is broadcast live from Liverpool this year, RoC is at Wembley
Apparently LH has said yes and Anthony has also said yes to the RoC, decision now is with Ron
