Challenge Website - Driver Info Required

Hi all,
As most of you have heard, we're constructing a website for the challenge to provide a center for info and events as well as a good advert for the series. As part of that, we would like to put driver profiles up to show prospective racers what it's like and what people's background/experience comprises.
So when you have a moment, would you all be so kind as to email me a short account of: how you got into racing, how you prepared your car, what your car is, which class you race in, what you do for a living, where you hail from, what your racing experience is etc etc - As well as a photo of you and the car. This will hopefully show people what it's about and what sort of people compete and at what level. Any extras you have such as build diaries/reports/videos etc would be great to stick up there.
Send your content to me at nick dot simpson at hotmail dot com (replace dots and the at obviously!) and I'll hopefully have a first draught up and running soon

Is there a section for the people supporting the drivers and their cars? I know that many of the racers prepare their own cars and do a damn fine job too, but others do have support from garages / bodyshops / engine builders etc and they hardly ever get mentioned. Attracting new drivers is great, but attracting tuners into the scene is also a good move but they won't do it if they don't get any exposure.
I remember on the old site we had moore racing, rt racing, v8 sports and specialist, me and maybe some others all involved in some way and we had our own little sections about how we got involved and the work we did on the cars .. we've had/we'll have green star, tvr power, powers bodyshop, plasticman, me at track car, castle race engines again maybe?, john reid's guys @ grantura eng, hexham hc, john wade engines, track v road etc etc .. can that be incorporated somewhere aswell? Just a thought

Can I suggest that each driver has the opportunity to advertise their sponsors with a "clickable" logo on it, obn their own profile page. This may work better and clearly define who is sponsoring which driver.
On the subject of the website, Nick, George and I have been passing ideas around for a few weeks now since the drivers meeting at Oulton. This will only work with help from the drivers in terms of supplying content etc.
Therefore any of you with cars for sale or items related to the series ( parts etc), please let Nick know so that we can get it all advertised on the site ( for free). Its going to take a while to get going but the objective is to make it the "one stop shop" for everything to do with the championship.

Thanks guys! I've done some more work on it tonight and its getting there slowly. Once again, anything you'd like up there - sponsers, build diaries, videos, etc just let me know and I'll add it in there, along with classified ads (not done that bit yet, but some content for when I do would be lovely).
