How reliable is the AJP engine

Hi

I am looking at a tuscan at the weekend fitted with a AJP engine,i would have prefered a RV8 as a first car to run in class B.Can you run in class b with the AJP?

How good/reliable is the AJP ?

It could also easily be converted back to ajp at some point as well :-)

I have been lucky enough to run an AJP tuscan all year and the thing is awesome, next to other ajp tuscans you dont realize how fast the things are, get it on the track with other cars and things like 911 GT3 go backwards very quickly, as for reliable, mine has had a slight head gasket weep but otherwise been great, Deano's car no.20 has done over 2 full seasons without any more than oil and filters. Why have a slim one when you can have FULL FAT...

There are several Group B Griffs for sale at the moment if you fancied going that route.

I am going to look at the car on race cars direct (taking trailer and cash) if it is what i am looking for and we can strike a deal it will be coming back to Lancashire with me.

I don't think they are air jacks Graham are they not the suspention remotes ?

I could be wrong but they look like air jacks to me, right place for them and look much to big for remote damper canisters, and quite a distance from the dampers

If I'm looking at the right part (pic 1) I can see an adjustable locking ring just like those used for ride height on an adjustable platform.

lock rings adjust the height of the jacks... you can see the top of it in the other pic.

A bonus if its got them and they work... you just need to get an air bottle..


Just noticed the front Anti roll bar as well, thats a bit trick..
