24 Hours of Spa - 2009

As I can't find any dates on the infoweb I assume they haven't been set for 2009 yet.

So, does anyone know,

i) what the dates are, or
ii) if not set, when they are usually announced

Most dates get set early in the new year.

The Spa 24 is traditionally the very last weekend in July and the very start of August. If I were going to take a punt I'd say 31st July - 2 August.

Unlikely that it will be that weekend. That is the british f3 & GTs and more inportantly Caterham Superlights

Doesn't mean it won't be that weekend. Caterhams and F3 will be support races on Saturday morning and the British GTs will probably be grid fillers for the FIA field.

It doesn't necessarily mean it won't be but as the SRO run both series it might be an indication of the date.

It's too soon to know really though unless someone has access to the calendars.

F3 has been a support race for Spa 24 for some years but I see on the calendar that F3 is provisional for both weekends 25/26 July and 1/2 August and GT in confirmed for 1/2 August (as a support race)
http://www.parcferme.com/content/view/7182/2/ cannot find and events for F3 or GT in UK for either weekend unless you have a updated calendar that I cannot find.

Just found this when wondering the same thing. We did the Nurburgring Oldtimers and Spa 24hr this year (consecutive weekends, but separate trips) and said that we would link the two if possible next year. However the exchange rate is conspiring against us at the moment so it might end up being one or the other The Oldtimers is the 7th-9th August.
