G50....the modern day Tuscan

Hello guys im a newbie but have been looking at this forum for a while.
I've read some excellent stories of people struggles to sort their cars out and with finances.
Your all to be applauded
Im a massive fan of Tuscan's, have been right from when i first remember seeing them in the early nineties.
More recently, when i was just starting out in bgt i'd pop off when i had a minute to see a few laps. One that sticks in my mind is Castle Combe '04 standing on the outside of the start/finish kink, in the pissing rain, watching a mix of aquaplaning understeer into massive power ovcersteer. I miss those things and its great that you guys are still running them.
So the title of the thread...well i thougtht it would get your attention. Some people agree others dont. I personally think they are not quite 'brutish' enough but with a very oversteer biased chassis the antics are similar.
soooo....ive read through a lot of stuff on here and one single thing keeps cropping up. There's a certain person on here that needs to put his money where his mouth is.
Its all very well beating people in a completely class legal car but with better resources than everyone else...why not step over to a true one make championship and show us all how good you are?
Nigel Moore has proved that natural ability with a good setup can make everyone else look rather slow. Everything is sealed and strictly scrutineered so it is a true level playing field.
If you not busy with your chassis development commitments in Italy why not come and have a test?

by the way - if youre going to pop on here asking people to put their balls on the line, you could have done the same by adding some ID to your post. HOwever I tend to agree with your comments RE the G50 series.

If all the G50 runners are like you chap I think you've just put me off them...
The G50's do seem to have taken the place of the old Tuscan, but like everything else modern the're slower than the good old days..
I do keep looking at some of th 2nd hand ones about.. needs a (cheap) v8 in it though

There you go Mr G50NO1 you have 2 of the top drivers recently from the Tuscan Challenge who will be able to tell people how fast or slow the G50 is compared to a Tuscan.
Now all you need is to organise them a drive .....

The Tuscan Challenge forum is a logical place to market the G50 and I have have no problem with Ginetta touting for business. But I think everyone would be more comfortable if it were done in an open manner.
Why not just publish a couple of test dates and give venues and cost.
I'd be interested in testing one, but there is little or no prospect of me buying one as I am so heavily committed to the Sagaris. So it would simply be out of curiousity.
I do think it is a great shame that Laurence wasn't successful in his bid for TVR. If he had I suspect we would still have a factory backed TVR race series.

If you want to compare G50's with Tuscans lets have an informed educatonal discussion and not a ' come and show us all how good you are'
You could bring a G50 into the Tuscan Challenge as it still has (I think) and Invitation Class. Now that would be intresting.
