Prodrive and Honda

Honda apparently wants to sell its F1 team but if no buyer is found theyll sell it off bit by bit and probably not get much for the bits. Prodrive wants its own F1 team but didnt want to use the old mclaren base and for various reasons didnt come in this season.
Dave richards ran the honda F1 team for what was probably its most successful period of recent years and then fell out with Honda and was binned.
Bernie doesnt want to lose any teams really.
The Honda team and base are top notch, its seemingly just been the management that has sucked.
So, if pro drive dont buy the team I'll eat my hat.

Would sir like to chose one from the catalogue, or does he have one in mind already? Could've had SupeAguri earlier this year if he chose, or Torro Rosso's been on the market all year. It's very sad, but Honda's already dead - if you believe the jungle drums.Interesting idea, especially considering that Honda may be willing to to offload the team free of charge (according to Autosport). Richards and Prodrive would surely be an attractive idea to Honda.
However I think David Richards has other priorities right now, like Aston Martin and the Subaru WRC team.

hes always described F1 as "unfinished business".The Subaru wrc tvam is apparently hampered by the imprezas basic design according to penti arikala (sp?) so that might not hold as much interest for him just now. Also, bear in mind that the principal sponsor for Prodrive's potential F1 team would have been Bauger...
I have spent some time in the Honda F1 facility and their equipment is not top of the line, nor is their marketing / management. Fry should have been sacked years ago, their earth car has cost Honda over £100 million in lost sponsorship revenue and ther staff have become frustrated by big business politics and petty minded cost cutting. It would be a shame to see one of the great engine manufacturers, but with NO races in the USA, both Honda and Toyota may well leave. F1 is going to the wall because Bernie and Max just don't understand the business of promoting and selling cars via racing!!

Should this come to pass I don't see much of a future for Nick Fry & that may not be a bad thing either.
