Not an accurate title I must admit, but it is vaguely appropriate.
The Ferrari website has just published an interview with Monte about the FOTA. (If you can't face going to the red website, it's also on http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/...
It's very assertive: perhaps even aggressive. It doesn't say anything about negotiations with Max Rufus and also highlights the uniformity of the teams: the words used are 'extremely cooperative climate'. He then goes on to say that they, the FOTA, will meet with Max Rufus and 'present' their conclusions and then discuss ways of improving the spectacle. They will also meet with Eccs to talk about distributions of earnings. To translate the translation, that means demand a bigger cut of the proceeds. The FOTA obviously feels that it has some leverage.
It's very interesting. The phrasing is rather remarkable. This is a muted challenge to Max Rufus and Eccs. It's the former's behaviour and tactics that has generated this remarkable cooperation. He's sown the wind.
I should assume the teams are beginning to realise that they unite or they perish.

All good stuff. Looks like all our (and by that I mean the General Motorsport population) talk of the end of the FIA/Ferrari special relationship coming to an end was absolutely spot on.
I hope that Honda's departure strengthens the resolve of the other teams to stay put and make F1 'sustainable' rather than putting the cat amongst the pigeons.
As I said in another thread, I do hope we're not seeing a repeat of the mid-nineties BTCC disaster.
