Button's got a seat at Toro Rosso, if he wants it...

I'm not convinced Torro Rosso will be anywhere near, next season.
Their car did well when mechanical grip was needed, and the Renault engine issues harmed Red Bull, this year.
Next year means the teams are going to have to be very good at adapting to the new tyres and aero and, along with Berger's departure and the concreting of their position as Red Bull's junior, I can't see them getting the same results as last season.
If I was Button I'd hang around and see what happens with the Honda team, because they might have produced something good, before trying to move elswhere.

Will Button's driving style suit the 09 regs though? His style is reputed to Prost like in it's smoothness.
So will this smoother driving style suit the new cars and tyres better or will a more agressive "get the back moving around" style ala Hamilton, Raikonen etc prove more effective?
Personally i hope it's the latter, it's far more exciting to watch

Rallycross - i'm assuming you've only been watching F1 for the last 2 years, because prior to that he outshone his team mates like a beacon in the wilderness, just look at the 2004/2005 seasons, oh and 2006.
I'm not his biggest fan, but the man has skill, look at his Wiki page to see his accomplishments.
I hope he does join STR, but agree, if he under performs he is in big trouble, i really see him as a man that just never really got a chance(through his fault or the cars i don't know) to show his true potential.

Stay with Honda (if its sold) and risk being in a rubbish team.
Leave Honda after all that effort, see it pick up and Jenson has committed to another second rate team
Go to STR - which are a supposed to be second team, and shine but still never get another chance.
I don't know all the ins and outs but that is a toughy. If another team pulls plug - and maybe we get three car teams? That would cause a huge reshuffle- fingers crossed he would pick up a good seat in that situation.

Isn't STR also up for sale? Aren't they in the same position of not having a title sponsor. I'm sure Red Bull aren't going to sell and keep sponsoring a second team.

The budget changes may be brought in sooner to try and safe guard the other places on the grid, allowing the likes of a reowned Honda to survive.
I keep thinking STR could be a very bad move, afterall their not manufacturers of there own car, and that could be trouble at the end of 2009.
