I'll bet that none do. Not a single 1.

Given that it's taking place in South America I feel my money is more than safe.

Stefan Peterhansel in the cars, though I'd love to see Miki Biassion take a high place.
My money is on my buddy Cyril Despres for the bike section.

I think and hope it will be Carlos Sainz's year plus I'm hoping the terrain may suit him a little more!
Not sure about the bikes they don't intrest me at all really!

The Hummer 2 years ago was fantastic, hitting a level crossing and getting huge air whilst everyone else crept across it.

Watched it last night and thought the coverage was pretty dreadful.
I guess Dakar are doing it with their own team and then sending it out to broadcasters to commentate on ?

I'm thinking Nassar Al Attiyah for cars and whoever the Kamaz crew is for the trucks. Not sure about bikes.

Anyone here ever done the Dakar? I'd love to do it but maybe in the assistance vehicle catagory.

I had a passenger ride with Nasser Al-Attiyah last year, and the guy's immense. He won three FIA championships in 2008, and I reckon he'll take the Dakar too.

Mitsubishi need to win it as the word on the street is that they will be pulling out after the Dakar. Having said that, Attiyah in the BMW is pushing hard and barring accidents, I would be suprised if he doesn't take the title.
