F1 Mid Season Testing?

Decided i'm not to shell out £125 for the race weekend this year, so thinking of going to one of the Test sessions at Silverstone instead. anyone have any idea if there are any, and when they are? can't seem to find a calender for the Test sessions anywhere.

Cost cutting measures have change the rules to eliminate any mid season testing this year.

it's even worse than that - just looking at the sporting regulations (trying to understand the new engine rules) and noticed that there will be no track testing permitted between the start of the week preceeding the first race, and 31st dec '09!!!

Does that include testing at Fiorano or is that still brushed under the carpet?

trying to get a definite answer from the regs is impossible! relevant statements are that each competitor is allowed 15000kms of testing per year. no track testing is permitted at sites which are not currently approved for use by F1 cars. and the above date restrictions.

therefore i guess testing at fiorano before the first race is acceptable. however, i know that straight line (aero) testing is permitted during the season, i think 8 events (or maybe as many as you want, to remain under the km limit).

to be honest, i think the days of ferrari's extra (free) testing at fiorano we over a few years back (i.e they tested there instead of, rather than in addition to, the tests that the other teams attended)...
