No rookie has ever beaten his world champion, reigning or previous, teammate in the WDC in the history of F1, let alone publically embarrassed him 
, until Lewis came along... and also beat a very highly rated driver while he was at it. Someone Schumi couldn't beat, despite having a better car. (Hey, I like contentious statements!)
Sorry to keep plugging the guy, but I reckon he is that special.
Jacques Villenenuve came 2nd to Hill, but Hill wasn't a WDC at the time either (though should've been in 1994!)
Denny Hulme and Bruce McLaren have come close, the two beating WDC teammate Jack Brabham but both had been racing for two seasons by the time they managed this.
..at least to my knowledge!

Like Mansell moping up in the States as a Rookie after his WChampionship, I wonder whether LH will ever be so 'free' as when he pooped on his 2 time WC team mate, outbraking KR in a Ferrari at Monza.
It was an incredible year and performance.
But watchout for Vettal. He could I think.
I'd have signed him 3 years ago if I were Ferrari or BMW.

Most really fast potential driver never get to even sit in a race car, it is all down to funds, lifestyle born into.
Looking forward to the new season, pity this KERS is so pointless (0.2-0.3 sec's lap) for all the extra cost involved - just so Motorsport at the top end can say they are being more Green!

2) Alonso, who I guess you are referring to, was not Lewis' team mate last year when he won the WDC. Alonso drove for Renault, Lewis for McLaren!!

I'm always nice and empirically fair though, so I tell you what; I'll give you a couple of hours to re-read my statement and correct yourself, before I publically embarrass you. (very big hint)

As for the Senna thing, yeah it was for a laugh, but more to see what amusing counters PHers would post to such a daft claim. You might also want to read my posts in that one again too.

I have a favorite cat out of the two my Mrs got but they both get treated the same. They get fed the same and I kick them both as hard (joke, I only kick the Mrs, never the cats!!!!). There is nothing to suggest that FA was at a disadvantage. There is plenty to suggest that he didn't like not being the top dog.

This is of course Alonso's big weakness and something maybe Mclaren should have accounted for earlier.
I do not think that Mclaren physically favoured one driver though. Once Alonso was more assured latter in the season he was more his old self.
