Well the lead commentator (sp) is Jake Humphrey who is doing F1 this year.

It will be interesting to see/hear how good he is.

He's the lead presenter, taking over Steve Ryders role

And he's rubbish, IMO, but the anchor role is minor compared to who sits alongside Brundle in the commentary box

Will be sad to see the end of Steve Rider. He is a true pro and a real enthusiast, just hearing his voice reminds me of BTCC from the mid-90s.

BBC won't pay Steve Ryder a decent salary nor allow him to do the other stuff outside his contract, ie host conferences / awards etc. Tis a shame but such is the BBC. ITV will give him the freedom to do more than front Champions League or whatever.

+1, and rallying and Autosport awards et al. I think his style suits BBC more than ITV TBH, a lost opportunity. I should think if the Beeb can afford Clarkson and Ross, they could afford Ryder.

I would disagree that Ryder is as much apart of motorsport as Murray.

But having said that I would agree that Ryder is more of a motorsport 'fan' that some other people that have commentated/fronted motorsport on the TV.

I await for the BBC's F1 coverage to see just how good it will be.

I know it won't have adverts or JA but will it be great or just OK?

But the most important question is:

Will 'The Chain' be used
