The Angelsey Race

Whats everyones thoughts about the race at Angelsey on the 15th March for £175.00...seems cheap and well worth it if the weathers ok...

I am thinking about it. Just a bit concerned about the weather.

The other thing is if you have a big accident you may miss the first proper race.....

Joking aside Mike its a good point, but I never drove Angelsey in the Tuscan and wouldn't mind a run out down there before we go

It is good value for money. I bet Anglesey can be a bleek place in March though!

If there are enough of us going i could well be tempted.

we used to do quite a bit of early season testing at angelsey in feb march and actually always had good weather...

we did wake up one morning to a blanket of snow... but by the time we actually got on track it was fine..

I'd say go for it..

yeah i remember that one the input shaft on the diff seized on the first lap out of the pits in the taz good job i drove up in the tuscan and not the corsa that weekend

At 1600 today, the decision was taken to cancel the Season Opener race meeting scheduled to take place at Anglesey Circuit on Sunday 15th March 2009.

The total entry received to date was only 5 cars :
Formula Ford 3
Single Seater Formula Libre zero
Open Sports Cars zero
NW Libre Sports Saloons 1
Caterhams 1

We know that there would have been a few more to come, but the signs were not looking good to achieve a total entry that wouldn't have resulted in a large financial loss, as it costs about five thousand pounds to put on a club race meeting, no matter how few, or many, competitors there are.

Hopefully this won't be a sign of things to come for racing both Historic and contemporary this year.

The Test Day on Saturday 14th March will still be happening, as will one a week earlier on Sat 7th March.
