Build Up to the Season

First proper week of testing and looks like normal order, with Mclaren and Ferrari at the front. Although why is Mclaren running with an 08 a rear wing in low downforce trim? They say they are waiting for a high down force wing to be made? This doesn't sound very mclaren to me.
Red Bull looks fast but as with most Newey cars, breaks down.
At least Alonso managed to find some pace today, but I get the feeling they are a little bit behind.

We'll get used to them after a while. Look at all the fuss about ground effect. I've got a picture of a Lotus 49 on my wall with an autogrpahed photo of Clark in it. I must say I don't think it was ever bettered. But I still liked a lot of the cars that replaced it. I think the thrill of the racing has a lot to do woth it.

I agree that we'll get used to how they look after a few races. But why are the front wings so wide? Surely loads of them are going to get knocked off.

And the Toro Rosso in the video was still using the '08 front wing - haven't they finished theirs yet?

Have just gone out and bought the 2008 F1 season review and gonna sit back and watch that this evening, get myself geared up for the new season.

I get a feeling 2009 is gonna be a good year for F1.

I believe that STR are still using the 2008 spec car, not just the wing, to give Buemi some track time and experience, and also they're waiting for RBR to cross out Red Bull and write Toro Rosso on some RB5's.
I do prefer the 08 wing on the 09 cars, the 09 spec wing is too out of proportion, but I do prefer the rest of the 09 look; the aero winglet thingys on the cars the last few seasons didn't look very nice and of course made slipstreaming a lot harder. For 2010 I hope the tall narrow wings are ditched but the rest of the regs remain the same.
And is it just me, but do the slicks make the cars appear prettier anyway?

Me too,just ordered it from play.com £11.99,what did you pay?

pretty sure i paid £10.99 in HMV, but there was a £14.99 sticker on underneath, so must have been in the sale. what was crazy was that the 07 DVD was only £5, and the 06 DVD was £19.99!!!! WTF the 06 season wasn't THAT good.

Watching it tonight, and with all this news surrounding Honda i am getting well excited about this season.

I don't know where they get there prices from that's crazy .When i bought the 07 review last year think i paid about a tenner for it,can't wait for this one to come looking forward to watching it.
