Lying in bed this morning, on came the news with the F1 result before I could do anything about it
Why can't they at least warn you?
Then some git had it on their bloody facebook status so now my wife has found out too.

If it was BBC news then I agree, otherwise you can't really blame them for reporting newsworthy material. What did make me chuckle though was someone on here this morning about 2 hours after the race finished, moaning like mad at the OP (on a thread that's now been pulled) because the thread had a title that kinda gave the race result away, and that it had completely ruined his day because he'd now found out the result before watching it at lunchtime.
OK so its not ideal if someone puts a thread title that gives something away and you hope it doesnt happen too often, but if its so important not to find out, its probably not the wisest idea to be browsing a highly active motorsport forum a couple of hours after the race had finished. The only active threads were those relating to the race and the result so there was nothing to read anyway!

The lot of em!Not at all, if it was BBC news that spilled the beans then that's annoying, Id expect it from other channels though as they only manage it with the footie on the channel its being shown on as well.
Someone said that if you watched the re-run at lunchtime though and pressed the red button to chose alternative feeds, the first feed you saw was a general sport feed which had a ticker scroll along the bottom announcing the results! Not ideal.

It IS bad, when football gets the "if you dont want to know the results, look away now...." but F1 (and other sports, for that matter) get the "And xxxxx has won todays Grand Prix".
Very annoying- Ok so maybe you should avoid a motoring website (sorry Garlick et al...), but avoid all forms of TV just in case?

If I have to get up at all times of a sunday night/monday morning to watch the European races. Then you can't whinge about having to get up a bit earlier on a sunday morning to watch a race. It's a tough gig getting up at 2am to watch our "Aussie Mark Webber" bin it on the first corner.
