F1 - Thrilling return

Well

I watched a thrilling weekend of F1 on the BBC.

The qualifying was just electric.. I have not seen a quali session so good since the days on Nigel Mansell.

The race was also excellent - full of incident and also over taking a plenty..

But Monday AM .. log on to PH and all I hear is bhing about this and that ..

I can only guess you lot were watching another show.

This is PH, what did you expect? If there's a negative viewpoint possible on any subject, there'll be a post on PH with that view.

This is the internet.

Always assume that for every negative posting about something 10 people are sitting there not bothering to post cos it was all fine.

I loved the BBC show especially that lump in the throat moment when the "proper" music came on at the start.

Great qualifying (although I still think the current format gives too much action at the end of the session with everyone on their final hotlap, 90% of which you can't keep an eye on)

Great racing - KERS has really made it interesting with some good passes it seems to have made possible, and mixing it up nicely at the start. Cars seemed to be able to follow each other closer.

Not sure about the artificial hobbling of the uber-soft tyres though.

Even liked the look of the cars, except from an elevated front view of a number of cars coming towards the camera looked like lobster racing with all the front claws out.

See even I'm complaining now. I'm stuck in my own infinite logic loop loop loop loop.

All the other threads that I could see - have been moaning about one aspect of another ..

Just thought for once - we could have a thread for those who actually enjoyed it and yes - great to hear the Chain back again.

Other threads, of the many on this subject, aren't negative. They are opinions positive and negative. The nature of opinions means that you won't have a purely positive thread.

It just gets confusing as people post the same type of comments on multiple threads - and forget which thread they posted which reply to (well, I do, anyway).

We should have one thread dedicated to covering the BBC's TV broadcasts and one thread for comments on the race itself.

Enjoyed every bit of it. I was sceptical with KERS but it was brilliant, cant wait for Sunday! Not the Biggest Ferrari fan but was a little sad that they didn't finish.
