After every F1 GP weekend, the "official" GP threads get clogged up with about half a dozen parallel discussions about various aspects of the race, penalties, strategies, driver performance, etc. Generally people seem to post new threads to discuss those issues post-race, and those new threads are quite productive, often running into multiple pages. But the "official" thread also contains discussions about the same topic, and it gets a bit difficult to follow the discussions in multiple threads.
IMHO, the "official" GP threads should be closed after the race weekend (ie. the following Monday), and if anyone wishes to discuss post-race issues like penalties, etc., they can start a new thread dedicated to that discussion.
What are your opinions?

Leave the threads to run to their natural conclusion; what are we, Nazis?

My opinion is don't read it if you don't like it. You wouldn't have anything new to read if it were locked, so why bother now? Which brings about the question why lock it when some of us enjoy the post race analyis, discussion, flag waving and so on.
Don't like it? read something else, but don't lock it for the sake of it.

Let the official threads run. The thing that pisses me off is when people start a topic about a subject that is already being discussed in an existing thread. Calling it by a different title doesn't make it a different subject.

It has been getting a bit silly on here since Sunday. I wouldn't want things to become too dictatorial here but people should exercise a bit of intelligence before opening yet another thread on a topic which is being adequately covered elsewhere,

For the purposes of the safety of PH, I would point out that Mikee is not suggesting that anyone, even Hitler, was ever a Nazi. Nor that just being a member of an ultra right wing fascist party which, under a different name, supported the Nazi party (not that anyone, ever, belonged to it of course, least of all women in German uniforms) means that you could ever have anything to do with Nazism. And just because you were mates with Franco does not mean, well, anything. And especially anything to do with Nazis.And death camps were run by nuns, not Nazis. As others have said, if its important not to know the result until the re-run, you simply have to avoid the internet, or at the very least avoid motorsport forums!! Better still, if you dont want to get up and watch it live, record it and watch it as soon as you get up so there's less chance of finding out.

I think if you do that we'll end up with countless different threads, all ending up saying much the same thing, and clogging the board and bandwidth right up. I say leave it as it is, with people hopefully starting fewer separate threads but on specific topics which they wish to discuss. What are your opinions?
