Between Jordan and richard bloody branson, I was totally put off the pre/post -amble last week. Those 2 really, really love being on telly too much - esp that grinning goon RB. OK, he's sponsored a team, but did you ever see mr Vodaphone, Mrs AIG, Herr Dekra whatever harassing the telly?
Meanwhile, at least DC can conduct an interview now without having to blame someone else for every single off, ever =)

He's not only getting onto DC's nerves by the sounds of things... the young chap who looks about 12 had a little go at him for his driver of the day, being 4th and outqualified by his own teammate doesn't seem to have any influence on EJ's choice:

I would also put money on it that they don't get on. When Jordon was mentioning how McL weren't performing due to outside pressure, Coulthard argued back that they are a professional team and would be able to block it out. Jordon then reiterated his own point about how they would DEFINITELY be affected by it and Coulthard looked thoroughly pissed off and was clenching that massive jaw of his.

No, but then Vodaphone, AIG, Dekra and RBS are large corporates PLCs - the Virgin group is private Ltd. As such the bosses of the former are just employes, but RB is the owner of Virgin so has a much greater vested interest - he's also a very good showman that knows how to use himself to promote a good image for his virgin brands.Also did you ever see Vodaphone, AIG, Dekra and RBS becoming F1 sponsors in the middle of a global economic downturn, saving teams from folding (would have been a matter of time)? Will you see them run away as soon as they can get out of their contracts, leaving teams with hige holes in their accounts? Well RBS are going, AIG are screwed, and the others...?
Eddie, bless him, never seemed to have a grasp of the sport when he was in it but boy, he did have the best post-race party. And anyone could go.
He brought fun to the pitlane and it is a shame that such a casual approach to the sport wasn't enough to take on the big boys. It won't be long before he starts telling everyone that if MScheuy had only stayed with him, he'd have been really successful.
But in answer to the direct question above: No.
I got myself invited to a post-race party at a WSC event in the 80s at Donington. That was in the Merc area and it was great. The crews really know how to party. A certain lack of femails was its only downside.

Took the words out of my mouth. I hav'nt got a problem with Branson being interviewed on the coverage. He's involved in the biggest story in motorsport at the moment!

I don't think Virgin have done this. Rumour has it that they've basically jumped on the bandwagon once they'd seen that Brawn were going to be a success, and even then with only a relatively small sponsorship deal.They certainly didn't save Brawn.

Still Branson has at least put some money where his mouth is.
I thought the BBC practice coverage was light years more professional than last years ITV efforts.Lets hope the differences between Jordan and DC continue,after all that is the point of having several commentators.Jordan has earned some respect by clawing his way up from a modest background to running his own F1 team.

IMHO the analysis would be better for EJ not being there - he is too consumed with trying to seize control from Jake Whatsisname, acting like he knows more than DC about F1 (even driving, and then airing blinkered opinions.
