This is big news and could make a difference. He gets Ross Brawn's old job.
No he doesn't. Dyer is the new team manager, not Technical Director (which Brawn was).
No need for handbags over semantics, I would hope most of us understood the job vs roles
It just seems a sensible re-org (IMHO) to tool up for the new development challenges with enforced race weekend testing. 8 or so straight tests and limits on wind tunnel speed will really challenge the teams who need to 'catch up'.
I wonder how this impacts on Kimi, he seems to be pretty centric in the rumour mill, plenty of inferences will be drawn over the weekend I suppose. I'm also surprised many journo-speculators seem to be subtly linking the tyre selection faux pas with LB (as though Mr Dyer & Kimi had no input?), still plenty believe as fact the opinions they read in black & white

Yeah exactly my thoughts too. Im my book the chief track engineer has the final decision on tyre choices, helped by the drivers and race engineers.Forums | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
