STOLEN - Two Formula Atlantic Historic Racing Cars

I wondered if the members of this forum could help out with the theft of two of our racing cars:

STOLEN

Terry Fullerton’s Lola T460 Chassis no. HU17

Daryl Taylor’s March 78B Chassis no 78B-8 (All the suspension components are serial numbered for crack testing)

Both cars run distinctive maroon engine blocks on their BDA’s built by Racing Fabrications.
Both cars are also running Hewland FT200 gearboxes. (March 78B Gearbox is marked 782 MBR)

The cars were stolen from a workshop in the Yeovil area and were on stands with NO WHEELS in the workshop.

£10,000 reward for information leading to the cars return.

Sorry to hear this Bruce, it's worth sending the main gearbox builders like PDS the FT200 serial numbers in case they turn up there in future.

Guys - thanks for the replies. We have been in contact with Lola and Alan at Oldracingcars and also the gearbox companies....it's my fear that the only reason they have been stolen is for breaking. I'm taking an ad in Autosport/Motorsport and also Motoring News to hopefully get to the rally side of things in case the BDA's turn up there. Thanks again.

Really sorry to hear that and i hope they get the scum who did it.

could you by chance post some pics because im not really sure i know what the cars looked like.

keep an eye on the US websites too www.race-cars.com etc as the historic scene is pretty big out there to say the least!... might be worth a call to vintage motorsport (US)magazine to see if they acan run an article or put it in the editorial.
