It was. I found the footage of the policeman saluting the coffin incredibly moving. Big respect too to Senna for visiting the museum in Duns in secret, and then giving a speech at Loretto, Clark's old school.

One of the all time greats - no question. Such a great loss - so many people obviously still moved by his death.

Was born 5 years after his death and i still got rather choked up at the end, what a great bloke he was, very modest indeed.

I was 13 when he was killed and can remember exactly where I was at the time I heard the news. No driver since has ever come close as a sportsman and a gentleman.

A fantastic program about my boyhood hero. Just watched it on iplayer and worth my licence fee just for this alone.

I met Warren King at today's Club Lotus show at Donington. I'm pretty sure Warren was the accountant with Lotus when they first set up in business and he remained with them until retirement in the late-80s/early-90s.

Warren is very closely involved in Club Lotus and the whole history of Lotus particularly Jim Clark, he played a significant part in the organisation and unveiling of the Hockenhiem Memorial shown at the start of tonights programme. Warren did say that tonights's documentary was one of the best he'd seen on Jim clark.

Incidentally, Jim Clark was brought up, lived and is now buried not very far from whwre my parents grew up in Berwickshire. I've been to the museum in Duns a few times and this added a particular poingancy to tonights program. Jim Clark was also a great hero of Ayrton Senna's and I'm sure he made a private vist to the museum (and Jim Clarks old school) a number of years back.

Brilliant documentary, a great insight into that era of F1. It was brutal in many ways and they were true heroes to take the risks they took. Really looking forward to the Graham Hill documentary next week.

Be great to see more of these, I'd particularly like to see one about Giles Villeneuve.

repeated tonight at 1:10am, I really enjoyed it, gutted i missed the Jackie Stewart one last week why wasn't it on iplayer? Graham Hill next week i think
