The look of the cars?

Just wondered whether anyone else has got used to the new design and ended up preferring them?
Probably no great surprise that familiarity breeds acceptance but I've gone from having mild nausea induced on the launch pics to now thinking them infinitely more attractive than last years cars (overlooking the anvil engine covers which are still hideous).
They look like missiles, so much nose, driver seemingly sitting at the back, very lean.
The front/rear wings somehow look like they are doing the job they were asked to do, provide more brute force aero rather than gently finesse the air around the car in the most perfect way.
The cleaner lines look so much more purposeful than the delicate winglet laden things from last year which screamed "AERO, WE RELY ON AERO".
Mind you, the Renault still looks like they got Blinky Blunkett in to do the aero package.

Yeah, as I was writing the above and watching them wheel Alonso back into the garage on tv I thought exactly the same. Lovely wide rubber, strange how such a little thing makes such an impact. For some reason it really reminds of old computer racing games where your tyre wear was indicated by the tyres going from black to green to orange to red on the little icon .. gawd knows why!

When you watch the last few seasons the cars look like an Indy car set up in super-speedway trim. I know i hated the new wings when they came out. Still not fussed on the front wings though.
Agree, front wing still looks way too big. Don't even notice the smaller rear wing now. The slicks DO look good though.Edited by NeilBeforeZod on Saturday 18th April 14:17

Yeah, the low wings suit too. Just a bit odd how quickly you get used to some pretty radical changes really.

For my money the cars look brilliant. Clean, elegant, sculptured, and without all the bits of tat hanging off that we've got used to over the last few seasons. It's just a shame about the front wings...--

But I agree with the majority: great to get rid of all the silly little winglets all over the sidepods etc. I do find it 'interesting' that the teams that have been loudest in whinging about the double-decker diffusers are those that have made the most obvious abuse of the front of the sidepods - wing mirror mounts my a
