Well, I certainly got more than I expected yesterday.

What an experience from the start, no photo on my signature card, failing scrutineering, insulting the Clerk of the Course, S**ting myself for 3 hours, Race one-feeling quite smug that starting near the back had allowed me through everyone’s personal hell to suddenly jump up the field, to see the red flag instantly and come back down to earth with a bang and realize just how dangerous this is. Start again, finish again, can’t wait to get back on again, and then to have a very disappointing race.

Went hope depressed and knackered, woke up this morning on top of the world thinking I’d got away very lightly only needing a new clutch and I had a few points under my belt.

Thanks to everyone who helped me, offered advice, fed and watered me and just made me feel welcome.
