After what seemed to me to be a very busy weekend for us...it turned out to be just par for the course as the weekend unfolded with just about everyone having a busy (and for some very expensive) weekend!
after just 3 laps of testing on friday our nsf stub axle sheared.
Fortunately no external damage.
So MY big thanks go to (in chrono order and sorry to any I missed)
Neil TVRcarparts - for sorting one - non std 5 stud ofcourse
Jaime CRE - for biking it up to...
Graham W - bringing it up to CP by 22:00
Big NTEL and his son - for helping me strip it at 22:00-12:00 (patience of a saint
this weekend)
Tom Stewart - for some of his tools
Tim/Keith - wheel bogey
Mike Saunders and Dad - for low jack
Alfa boys - for a welder
Rich Drewitt - for a crucial mole wrench (I'm serious undoable without it!)
Marc Hockin - Angle Grinder/assorted tools
Tony Hockin - Angle grinding not welding
Dave SC-Power - for bringing a new splitter (nicked of their SC500 demonstrator!)
Big Col - phone advice
John Reid - arranging late scrute and qualy
Scutes - late scruting
CoC for agreeing qualy in lunch break
Marshalls for losing 10 mins of their lunch
Steve B - for doing all the things I would normally do and for ending up kipping
in a cold van instead of a warm hotel!
Mal Gwynne/Hamish/Graham - for support.
Thats rougly 20+ people directly involved in getting Car 89 on the grid for Race 1. When it went BANG and headed for the tyre wall at 80mph I really thought it was all over. So thanks to everyone! Including any I missed.
I even ended up with a 2nd in C...Who knew

Andy, I think that is what its all about mate. Its one of the reasons I decided to carry on after yesterdays disasters for me.
Oh and by the way, that wasn't my son, that was my son in law. If our Dave was there he would have has the gear to get the offending parts off!!!!!!!!!!!! He coming to the rock with all our welding and engineering gear!!!!!!!!! (If I get me car fixed)
