Well, the Red Bull 1 and 2 at Shanghai was fantastic. I'm sure it will live in fans' memories for a while. Same for Brawn's 1-2 in Australia.

What were the most fabulous 1-2 finishes in F1?

Monza 1988 when Ferrari won just after Enzo's death. The only non-McLaren win of the season.

Indeed, they were both "memorable" (for the wrong reasons) 1-2 finishes I had in mind - Austria and Indy.

I never regarded that as cheating as it wasn't specifically banned then and it was the first race of the season, but it was a huge error of judgement by DC and probably damaged his career hugely by handing Hak the pyschological edge . I doubt he has ever forgiven himself, despite what he might say.

Interestingly, that was also the race at which:

Six teams made an official complaint on the eve of the Australian Grand Prix, asking the FIA to look into the system which they claimed gave the McLaren cars illegal traction control and power steering.

McLaren said the system had already been used in a race car at the end of last season and the team had kept the FIA informed throughout its development to ensure it was "perfectly legal".

"Some teams complain, they do not have the money to develop something like this but it's more accurate for them to say: `We do not have the brains'. And that's not my problem," Dennis insisted.

It's also said that McLaren's radio system was tapped into and a rogue message sent telling Hakkinen to pit. Now I wonder which team would do that?

Jerez '97. JV had already moved over to let both of them through and, let's face it, the British teams had already worked together nicely throughout the race so they were just enjoying themselves at the end.

Didn't affect the championship, so McLaren could do as they pleased.

How about the 1982 USGP Watson-1 Lauda-2 now that was a good race!

That isn't a 1-2 team finish though since Mansell drove for Williams and Senna drove for Lotus.
