..now i've got to be honest, on ITV the man was a moose, and cringe worthy. I couldn't stand the tone, the false excitement or the constant idiotic ramblings.
However, his blog has added something to F1, and i mean this constructively.
Its great!
perhaps now he has time to think about what he is saying makes the difference, but whatever it is makes his web page worth reading.
Tongue in cheek and informative it gives a lighthearted look on the madness that is F1.

+1, the only danger with this wonderful rehab he is undergoing, is that he forgets that we like his scribbling, precisely because he has time to think about what he's writing, and suddenly thinks he can try being a broadcaster again, as a warning, check out his photo montage of Sepang and his attempt at a Kipling-esque 'If' speech, and he had time to rehearse. I felt the hair on the back of my neck start to rise, as the memories started to flood back, he attempt at gravitas, very difficult to, Eddie Butler tries to do it for rugby, and he's bit hit and miss, this is not poetry but sport. Anyway I was just waiting for James to bellow "GOOOOO!!!!" in it somewhere, and it would have been perfect.
Some people have a face for radio, I hope he can make a good living from his writing, as he has voice for blogging...

Typical British fashion - He was a nobody. We built him up. Got him a top job. Then hated his success and hated him. We cut him down. Now he's down and out again, it's ok to like him again. One day we'll appreciate someone for who they are...
Pretty shallow behaviour really.
NB: I can say this from a higher moral stance because I never cussed him or hated him when he was a commentator. But then, I'm not shallow.
