Carl Breeze - Ginetta G50 crash

Has anyone an update on the condition of Carl Breeze after yesterdays crash at Oulton? It was an horrific scene.

Was a massive impact indeed, but from the TV coverage the suggestion was that proctor was the more injured of the 2 drivers.

I have to admit it looked very unpleasant at the time and its testimony to the manufacturer there were not fatalities

apsolutly, the G50s are standing up to some pretty big accidents in the last couple of years and the drivers seemingly well protected.

Hopefully any injuries sustained by the 2 drivers are as relitivly light as the Medical Spokesman said during the coverage.

I don't know about Carl Breeze, but the driver that hit him whilst stationery 'Mark Proctor' has a broken rib. Also i'm told his car had the seat cut out, the roll cage cut out, the engine is fully pushed back and gear box knackered.

Couldn't believe how bad the accident was. The cars held the impact well considering the force they would have taken.

Glad to hear both drivers were OK, only heard the bang and saw the aftermath, but saw the Youtube footage earlier. That is the sort of accident every driver fears.

One of the worst sites I have ever seen at Oulton Park. I only saw the aftermath. Cant beleive they got away OK. So very, very,very lucky.

If anyone wants to get the full picture of the crash, watch the home video version on youtube with the sound on. The noise is something that you wont forgot for a long time, trust me.

thanks for that - looked horrendous with Carl B seemingly lopping out of the car with his head when the door was off......he was a very very lucky guy.

I have to say tho - the person doing the video can't have filmed much motorracing!

a car spins around on second lap stationary in middle of narrow Oulton - and the dopey bugger filmed the two cars passing close instead of the inevitable accident.........

fair play for editing to only show accident - and not the cutting out etc of the injured driver.

I was there and saw the spin from Kinckerbrook but not the accident itself but it looked really nasty. Just watched it on YouTube and it's horrendous, amazing to hear the drivers are fairly OK though.

What about the guy who smashed up a Ginetta in the Juniors race and caused the red flag, I saw sheets being held up when he was taken out of the car but haven't heard anything about his condition.

TBH that GJ crash looked fairly tame!! Obviously wasnt. Havnt heard how she is though. ( Was a girl not a lad)

It didn't look too bad from our marquee but caused a red flag and they were holding sheets up while they got her out of the car so I wasn't sure what was up.

No it was Louise Richardson (#25)

I havnt heard anything about her condition, although heard that it was back and chest pains. I think they put the sheets up everytime someone goes on a stretcher to be honest. So may not be as bad as it would seem. Possible just a overnight stay at hospital to be sure.

After seeing Neil Shanahan's fatal accident at Knickerbrook back in 1999 it scares the st out of me whenever I see the blankets being held up.

yeah, I hate when the sheets go up to. You never know what is going on and what you may have just witnessed I was going to take a picture of the car wrecks but the sheets went up so the camera came down.

I can't be the only one thinking that if Ginetta started doing design and fitting of rollcages they'd have a very full order book.

Someone has posted on the BTCC.net forum that because of injuries sustained in the above accident, that Mark Proctor's motor racing career is over. I really really hope that is not the case.

Lets travel hopefully that this has been overstated. Certainly one hell of a smash.
