Silverstone Accomodation F1 Weekend

I've just found out I can go to the Grand Prix (Sat and Sun), but am really struggling to find any accomodation closeby.

Has anyone got any contacts for 'walking distance' B&Bs or hotels?

You'll be highly unlikely to find anything within walking distance now, it's only three weeks away. Unless you can camp?

There isn't a vast amount that's within walking distance at the best of times let alone this close to the GP.

I'd try the travel inns and premier lodges around the area including Northampton and keep trying in the hope that people cancel.

Perhaps try e-bay or as far as Oxford and just have to get up early to avoid the traffic, took me hours last year to get back, be warned. Really poorly sign posted too.

If you want to go my chopper to Silverstone the Parkside Hotel in Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes always do this.

We deal with most of the operators that have permits to land during Formula 1 weekend

Expect to pay around £350 to £400 return on Fri or Sat and £500 to £600 on Sunday (generally plus vat)

Prices vary between operators depending on which airfield they are flying from and most will include some form of breakfast while you wait for the flight

I would suggest Milton Keynes or somewhere around the M1 / A43 junction is your best bet. Thats where we normally look for people who need last minute accomodation.

I do know one tour operator we were talking to the other day who still has hotel spaces which would normally form part of their package, but they may be able to help you out. They stay about 3/4 hour away from the circuit and transfer customers each day by coach. If you are interested I can ask them if they could assist you

There is a new Campanile at Grange Park Northampton and a Holiday Inn Express in the same location. The Campanile only opened in October so it might not be on everyone's radar at the moment. The Campanile is lovely, really shiny and new. They might be worth a try.
