Yellow TVR GT3 from Britcar

Hi guys in Britcar, now im aware this was a pretty sensitive subject after the accident at the 24h last year, however im interested to know if the TVR involved in the accident will ever be revived/repaired and racing again?

Is anybody out there in the know about what happened to it after the event and whether it will be seen again, or is that it so to speak?

Its the mainly yellow and black car with the union jack on the front sides and im pretty sure it was 'Dewalt' written on it.

It was the racesport/ Dennis Leach car. the actual car, although it stood up incredibly well to the impact was totaled. I heard they picked a new shell up for it shortly after the race and it was in the process of being rebuilt, but it all seems to have gone a bit cold since then. Dennis's focus may have moved on to something else. I do hope to see the car out again as it really should clean up.

There are actually now though about 5-6 other sagaris bodied cars fully built and race ready at the moment just Ironing out a few chevy engine bugs and quite a few more including my RV8 powered one in build..

Thanks both for replies. Yes Graham thats the one and a great shot of it too. Good to hear your in a TVR project and hope you get things sorted and out on the track soon in that case.

So good and bad news I guess, really hope it does make a reappearance at some point. It was one of the main interests for me going to watch the Britcar events over past couple of years as a spectator, not that it alone will stop me attending but it was so unique, a real crowd pleaser and damn quick too!

It was certainly one of the main reasons that I went to Silverstone with my Dad for the 24hr event.

Ours is now out and about - we have some teething problems to resolve which is consuming No 7 pistons, but that aside all other systems are working well and the car is very quick

No Griffs in Britcar, but three of them racing so far in the TVR Challenge. Tom Stewarts Red one leading Class B and the overall Championship

Hi there,

Heres a shot of the Britcar Sagaris. This was taken during qualifying for the 24Hr race last year a couple of hours before the horrific startline incident.

Looks and sounds stunning in the flesh.



Heres one of the Team Holden car, this was taken at the recent Super GT race that was part of the AMOC event at Silverstone
