F1 DILEMMA - Oh, what to do...

...BIG fan of F1, not watched a bad race, the season so far has been immense.

Unfortunately, I am not going to Silverstone this year (which has been a bone of contention between the Wifey and I) but have just been offered a Friday [only] ticket from a friend at work for £25 .

Should I take it? I know if I go I'm not gonna wanna come home 'til Sunday eve. But if I don't go am I going to regret it more than if I do go?

In many ways the Friday is better - until recently you couldn't see the action anywhere else and you don't get the heaving crowds meaning you can watch the cars pretty much anywhere you like

Go.. It could be the last one at Silverstone so atleast you'll know you got to be a bit involved with the event.

Definitely one that you'll regret missing IMO even if it's a Friday only ticket.

Bit of a silly question too That's a given, but can an alcoholic settle for 'just a tipple?'. That's what I'm trying to put across here. It will break me to have come so close but then have to leave on Friday eve. It's a lot more than a simple something's better than nothing but I do appreciate your point - it's just difficult.

Whole-heartedly agree Kevin. I thoroughly enjoyed the Friday last year.

As Altrezia says, something has to be better than nothing - I may be cranky on Sat and Sun, though .

I only found out the '86 Brit GP was to be the last one at Brands when it was too late to go, and have regretted it ever since.
