Hi all, just a quick note - points are now up on TVRChampionship.com (at the time of writing there are some issues with the positions but Andy hasn't finished updating yet)

Additionally, for those who want a little more detail to look at, I've put a copy of my points sheet up for download here: http://www.box.net/tvrchamp

You just need to download it and open it up in Microsoft Excel - It may issue a warning about containing macros, if it does you should enable the content by clicking on the warning at the top of the page, or if you are using an older version of Excel just set your macro security to low using the options menu (email me if you have any trouble!).

It contains extra info such as fastest laps, number of victories, race by race breakdown, weights etc and I will update this at each race along with any new info that myself or any of you would like to see included. I will try and adapt this into a sort of archive at the end of the season so in future seasons you can easily look up previous years lap times against the present etc.

Hi Nick, tried to download the spread sheet but my version of excel (office 2000) will not open it. It says something like "Can not open this file, Data missing" and then excel crashes. Any ideas?

excellent info nick, well done mate. just one thing can you drop the 'E' in my surname as i am not from wales although i quite like sheep!

Hi Dave,

I designed the sheet in Excel 2009 with backwards compatability to 2003 so there's a good chance that it won't work in 2000. I'll have a dig through this evening and see if I can save it as an Office 2000 file for you.

Sorted your name Owen, no problem about the time thing I wanted to make the system a little more robust and ideally have some sort of archive to compare against in future years. It also gave me a good excuse to learn how to use Excel a bit better!

Kevan I have been told by JR and Andy Race is in class A due to his AJP engine. I had him in B until today but I will confirm with JR when I speak to him tomorrow and update again if necessary.

Again if any of you want to see anything added to this, please let me know! Considering things like keeping a rough weather/temperature log against each race to take into account if comparing with other years.

Just to confirm i am in class A ( tim would prefer i was in B as would a few others ha ha) John told me last season all AJP powered cars are class A, no problem as far as i am concerned

not that i am bothered (MUCH) but i seem to now be missing a point from rockingham for fastest lap. and they seem to be in the wrong columns as we have not been to mallory yet.

Hope when the investigation into the engine/drive train problems and the rear end impact is complete, a few ponts is all I will be missing and not my life savings!!

Yup noticed that too just after I put it up yesterday, all fixed now And the missing point was because I changed your name to take the e out and updated the points tables but missed out the fastest lap, so it thought that Tim Davis scored race points and Tim Davies scored the fastest lap, but he's not listed so wasn't shown - as I said, sorted now.

Well unless you push the Regs to the limit your going to have problems in any of the classes, I know its a difficult thing to get right due to so many different car's and configurations, and driving abilities, so Your never going to please everyone.

Kev summed it up wonderfully when I asked about how he felt before qualifying ;

'My objective for qualifying is to make race 1, my aim for race 1 is to still have the car in one piece for race 2 and for race 2 the aim is to fisnish and to put it back on the trailer to take it home as a car rather than a series of large and small pieces'

After all the time, money and effort pre season and after Rockingham who can blame him.

Top weekend guys,

Saturday night I got to sleep counting Beetles trying to jump out of kitty litter and Sunday night collapsed in a heap at about 9.00.


Can you lot drive slower please, the Funcup were a lot easier to take pictures of. The split into three classes and the difference in power means that after about three laps there is'nt a gap where you can move to change position without running around.



Hope to have pictures on the DTEC website tonight or tomorrow.

Ditto when trying to capture the race for a report, so much going on you've got to have eyes everywhere.

I like to see big grids but that Ferrari race would have been so simple to write up.
