Abu Dhabi Grand Prix?

My sister has bought me a ticket to go & see the A.D GP in October for my birthday!! Can anyone recommend the best place to be on the circuit?

If it's anything like Turkey, get there early with a good pair of walking boots and you'll be able to try almost every seat in the house....

Tickets are (apparently) almost sold out.

You will have a confirmed seat, so doubt you will be able to get in anywhere else. I'm over in the West Grandstand, at the end of the 200mph straight, which goes into a hairpin - should be a lot of action!!

All the seats are shaded, which apparently is a first for F1.

Temps will be a bit cooler hopefully by then, it's in the mid 40's at the moment!

Is it almost done? I heard they pulled the manpower off of Al Raha in order to step it up - and that it had to be done by August for an inspection.

I'm looking forward to getting to use the facility - nice drag strip there too, although knowing how Dubai Autodrome operates it will be priced out of the market for private events!

It will be skin of the teeth stuff that's for sure. West stand looks best and that's where my seats are, although i should now be marshalling. I'll have another drive onto Yas this weekend to see what's what.
