Why have they not raced the 599? the prodrive 575's were lovely!

Didn't Prodrive do the 550 but the 575 was an in-house job? The GT2 430 is doing so well, I could see another GT1 contender in due course. It will need to conform to the new regs though and the class is a bit up in the air generally until Ratel's new series takes off and the ACO decide whether to follow.

I think the 1st sentence says it all - "Prodrive" & the reason they aren't race-prepping Ferraris is because they have been busy doing it with Astons instead, unsurprisingly.

Bets are that GT1 will basically be killed off soon enough, Chevvy are pulling the Corvettes out and going to GT2 because they have no one to race.

It's been known for a long time that this year was the last of the current GT1 rules.
