Happy Birthday Woody
Discussion
Henry, if only your fertile imagination could bear some truth!
To explain, such is our miserable existence, we rarely get outside the house a a couple ("what happened to the trolleybuses" she said when we went into town last week. I took her out for tea and biscuits, but she said that giving blood rather spoilt the treat).
So a trip to Spa was akin to a Caribbean Cruise to the current Mrs Wood. Even better when we discovered we were not sharing ablutions with the main Britcar rabble, but in a seperate annexe, with an en-suite the same size as the bedroom. Thus detached in our outhouse, or "maison jardiniere" as the local Waloons probably call it, we could make as much noise as we wanted, giving me the green light to snore and pass wind with reckless abandon, just as the first honeymoon.

The en-suite was the entire lower floor? Sue and I had that room a couple of years back. We thought it was the honeymoon suite So a trip to Spa was akin to a Caribbean Cruise to the current Mrs Wood. A man after my own heart & a literary genius. Rarely do I laugh out loud at a post on an internet forum. Sorry, "LOL" to use the street vernacular.Keep smiling Woody

Henry, I visualised you sitting in front of your pc, laughing out loud in the inimitable Firman style, and that very thought made me laugh out loud myself. I've been reading that same post throughout the day, and laughing out loud every time, and I'm still chuckling now as I type this.
You've made an old man very happy.
