A1GP got wound up last night by an engineering firm who they owed money to, just before we wound them up. Why the hell did they keep spending money, buying and not paying bills!!

We were fortunate by "ONLY" losing £10,000, but one company has lost over 2million!..

Absolute wa***rs.. What annoys me the most is you know damm well they will start up a B1GP or some rubbish like that!!

No need for research simon, My solictor rang me at 2pm today and told me the 10k we have been persuing since november isnt coming as they have been wound up last night. I was, until last night, involved with A1GP quite a bit.. I have a lot of knowledge on this company, as i know most members of staff very well, and also the chairman. They were one of my biggest customers.

I still stand by my 1st post.. Arses!!

I have no vested interest at all, just so many posts are factually incorrect in tabloid style and it misleads the casual viewer. As I understand it:

1. A1 GP itself is not in liquidation, the UK logistics arm is
2. A1 GP is no longer owned by Arabs

Thus the first two posts are incorrect, had the posters bothered to read even the crash.net article (which is pretty tabloid in itself) they would have known this.

On the other hand I have no doubt that A1 GP is in trouble, a shame as it's one of the few spec series I think is a genuinely good idea.

There was some suggestion that A1GP might have been the route in for the FOTA breakaway series, a ready made formula with just a change of spec. I wonder if Mosley's defeat is what brought this about. While there was hope . . . Mind you, would they have paid the outstanding debts is what has been said is true?

A1GP always lost money and the bloke never made any secret of his willingness to sell.

It's always the suppliers who suffer the most.

However, while I naturally have sympathies with those who will lose money, my experience of financial disagreements or problems suggests that they are rarely solved with the use of a public forum...
