Well surprise surprise....could this be a little bit like Dmitriy Medvedev the puppet president of russia with Putin really still at the helm and Todt being Max Mosleys puppet? (shouldnt be giving max kinky ideas!)

Well, unfortunatly, any MSA licence holders will have no luck in convincing that organisation to vote for Vatanen as they are in the toads cabinet.

Does Todt have as questionable a reputation when viewed by other countries? Or is it just Britain that reads into things more?

Well this is really going to improve the FIA's standings with anyone who thinks that they favour Ferrari. Just one slightly questionsable decision by the FIA could start this whole bloody circus running again!

Well there's a surprise. 
And Max has structure the rules such that it overwhelmingly favours either the incumbent or whoever he favours. So that'll be Todt then.
At least Moseley turned up to meetings in a suit. Todt will doubtless be wearing his Ferrari polo shirt and Ferrari jacket.

Can someone do an evidenced deconstruction on Todt please, I don't know enough about him to understand what the fuss is about, but I'd like to learn.
I can't help thinking that this could be fairly irrelevant; I expect the new Concord Agreement to strip away the FIAs involvement in F1 to the bare minimum.

The fuss is that Jean Todt was former director and team principal of Scuderia Ferrari. His son, Nicolas manages Felipe Massa and co-owns GP2 series' ART Grand Prix team. He is also the favoured man of Max Mosley.
The fact that he has very close ties with Ferrari is one source of negative opinion. His actions during his time at Ferrari is another source, such as his very unsporting attitude at the 2005 US Grand Prix.

But didn't Ferrari boot him out and doesn't that fact deal with any pro-ferrari bias that you're intimating?
If he has Moseley's backing, he doesn't have mine, and as I said to a friend last ngiht, he's short and french so is bound to suffer from Napoleon Syndrome, which can't be a good thing!

Being such a serious accusation, the FiA must have had a full enquiry into it. I mean, the suggestion was for a blatent attempt at cheating. And it would have been a successful one if MSchuey hadn't suddenly thought he was in a stock car race.
Can't think how I missed that. Probably it was around the time of the Stepneygate enquiry when mere suspicion was enough for a $100M fine.
There is more to Todt's leaving of Ferrari than wanting to spend more time with his family. I'd like to know the full sp for that.
