Well done everyone. Class C looked close in race 1. What happened to class B in race 2?

I've updated the points file and sent it across for upload to the website so they should be up today (hopefully). I'll update the downloadable copy when I get home so you can view the standings in full but I can't access the site at work so you'll have to wait until this evening.

Thanks all for being kind to me at my first race! I was pretty happy that I managed to keep it on track and finish both races despite the car really not wanting to! Considering the Kumhos and lowely 2.8 I didn't think my times were too bad! Can't wait for the next one!

Yes well done Nick, some difficult conditions in the 2nd race and you kept it on the Island...In fact all the racers did well in race 2 and even put on some fantastic racing...

fantastic second race and a credit to the three leading cars that they raced brilliantly and didnt touch once in terribe conditions. It was some of the best close racing ive ever seen.

Also think Tasmin Tim (the younger one with the flash hairstyle) deseves a special mention.

Splendid second race and some consistant top times in the wet for a class C car. First class B car home too...

I didn't even see which way he went.










Just ordered my heated screen for fitting Wednesday.

i was really nervous going out in the rain after silverstone last year,
but the level of grip with the newish wets was amazing! and mixing it up with andy's griff was a little slice of tvr heaven, (i love griffs) also witnessed tom stewart catching a big slide and fish tailing all the way up to the hairpin, cracking recovery!
thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, made me remember why we all put in a lot of ours working on these cars, i'm still buzzing from the adrenalin rush!!
see you in two weeks, i will be doing the rain dance from now till then

How many others run in class A&B? i have a trophy for class B in race 1 and diddly squat for race 2 as i was back in class A. Could somebody please step forward for there 3rd place class B trophy from race 1 as i have it. Don't worry geoff i am not taking a pop its that i can't understand your oop norf accent
Now for the serious stuff a big thanks to Matt for changing the set up between races ( tall bloke got soaked in the process) to give me a car that would drive in the wet, and to cliff for lending me his wets.( i now have more of cliff's wheels than he does) and a big thanks to both of them for talking me into not going out on slicks as that was my intention up 10 minutes before the race. See you all at Castle coombe looking forward to that one as its the only race circuit i never been to.

Yeah agreed about the wet weather, I was bricking it before going out but I think that was one of the best experiences I've had in a car. An absolutely huge amount of adrenaline, Graham will testify to that after witnessing my huge grin when I pulled up in the paddock

I have to say guys that not having a car to fettle in that round gave me a lot more time to just enjoy the racing.

For me I think I witnessed some of the best racing and driving standards that I have ever seen in Racing.

Ben drove a very quick race in race 1 and the work Richard and Ben are doing with the car is obviously starting to Show.

Old Father Chanty had a great 2nd race, so good infact I could almost swear I saw a tow rope on the back of Toms Griff.

Deano. I hope you didn't mind the piss taking back in the paddock after Race 2 but for me being on the far end of the pit wall I think the second race was gladitorial with Danny you and Marc. The comittment in full wet conditions around Gerards by all 3 was awe inspiring and Dean I know you won't mind me saying that loosing out to Marc with that pass is nowt to be ashamed of.

The weekend was what proper Tuscan Challenge racing is all about and I pity those that feel we shouldn't have more coverage of it in the club mag.

Awe inspiring stuff.

if i haven't mentioned anyone else it is only because the post isn't long enough to champion everyones individual drives. brilliant weekend by all. i just wished I had more money this year.
