Well Done Ivor. Pity you didn't chance the second race, you may well have took third in class and come away with something for the mantle piece. Both John and Nick had some problems. You may have took second as I was just being ultra cautious.

No wet tyres so i thought rather than stuff it in something or somebody i would leave it until i had the right stuff.
Had a few problems with the car as well it wouldnt pull out of the hairpin i was talking to John & Dave about it & it seems like a fuel issue but all in all had a great day & i am looking to buy a fuel cell ready for the next time out (wheres the best place to buy a fuel cell ?)

A fuel cell is expensive and not a requirement. All you need is a basic foam filled alloy tank. These can be bought from Demon Tweeks.

Yeah a proper fuel cell with internal pumps and internal trap doors is easily over a grand !!

The original tasmins did have loads of problems with fuel surge and buggering up the FI pumps.. That was solved with low pressure pumps from the tank to a swirl pot, and then a HP pump to the injection... when we went to carb though we ripped all that out and just use the LP red top under the tank. We've had no problems with that set up, although trying to feed 3 carbs may need a bit more flow

Ivor - I had a set of 15" wets I would have happily lent you for the race as I couldn't use them! You only had to ask!!

This is what I'm running, I have a Red-top pump from the single tank (no foam or baffles) this goes to a 1/2 litre swirl pot (also handy as it has a pre-filter) this feeds the high pressure pump for the EFI, I've had no problems with this set-up I have noticed though I do run dry on the REDTOP when less than 5 litres as they are very noisy when there is no fuel. this can last a few seconds, but the swirl pot is still supplying the EFI as 1/2 litre will be ok for 30 seconds.

Oh the car looks good from the pictures I've seen so far. if it is CJ's car I think it has a very sorted suspension set-up. so should handle well.

Its John Sumners old car it has a 2.8 engine with triple dcnf carbs but I also have C Js old car as well which is in the workshop waiting for the v6 cosworth i have, I have been waiting for a set of cam chains since march but cant seem to find any.
