The deal with Brawn was for I believe 6-8 races for around US $ 40,000 per GP. The media coverage generated is much higer than that but Brawn obviously need major on car sponsors paying upwards of $ 20,000,000.
Virgin is a very bad brand for loyalty, but they love media exposure for little if no risk.
Backing Manor would not be a wise idea and I doubt Virgin will plough money into an unknown entity.

They're no great loss to either team really, they just jumped on the bandwagon for a little while, Richy got to hang out at the races and drink some champers. He came looking for a bargain and some cheap publicity, he got it. Certainly hasn't endeared me to the Virgin brand thats for sure! Funny how Branson has disappeared now Brawn are back in the midfield. When Jenson was winning Branson seemed to be superglued to Brawn if the TV coverage was anything to go by.CommanderJameson said:

Yep had heard that is teh case. No lose to Brawn. Virging were getting so much publicity from the tiny amount they were giving Brawn - dangling the carrot that they might go into part team buyout, but was just so much flannel - Branson is right at getting the most for the least. They have bigger fish to fry.cheers Tom
