Advice Needed re Grandstands for Spa

We've decided to go to Spa for the GP and would like some info on which grandstand to go for. Quite tempted by GA tickets but it seems that would mean getting there at silly o'clock for a good spot, so would rather have a confirmed seat!

GA is very good at Spa, and getting there at silly o'clock isn't that necessary.

If you want to splash the cash for a seat, i'd go for eau rouge.

agreed, you just would not believe how steep that hill is.
we were sat in gold 2 i think, on the first corner on the second grid, which is nice as you see the porsche cup grid and formula renualt.

I've been to Spa 8 or 9 times now, such a fantastic track! First few years I went GA which involved gatting up at stupid o'clock only to find the hillsides full red dekra hat wearing Germans :-) You can get some great views GA, however as it's Spa rain is nearly always an issue, and some members of our party weren't too impressed with sitting on a cold wet hillside - and it can get bloody cold - for 8+hours (didn't bother me too much mind, all depends on how keen you are!). Since then I've sat at a few other locations around the track, however Gold 2 Radillion is in my opinion by far the best! You get to look down Eau Rouge, have a fantastic view of the top (Radillion) and can see the cars all the way from La Source. The best thing about having a seat is that it's so much more relaxed as you can rock up at anytime and leave your seat to get a beer or waffle and not lose your place. Looking back it was quite scandalous from 98 - 2001 as the seats weren't even numbered, something which they've since rectified!

Am I looking at the right price for Gold 2 of 1043 euros for two adults?

Also where is good is on the inside of the right hand hairpin corner. Its called Rivage!! Anyway its after long straight and right, left, right corners. Its downhill. Lots of banking there so you can over people's heads. To be honest though you cam walk the WHOLE track around the outside and are never far from the action....

Also if you are going to see MS specifically I wouldnt bank on it judging by Massas rate of recovery!

We had actually decided to go before he was announced as the replacement and I'm now wishing we'd got it all booked beforehand as I'm sure lots more people will now decide to go for that very reason!
