tvr sags in britcar at combe

I'm probably best qualified to answer that.
We had two engine failures triggered by the same problem - steam pockets forming in the cylinder head from the design of the vents to the heads. We misdiagnosed the cause the first time but the engine has been now been rebuilt, the coolant and venting system modified and we are almost ready to go testing again.
Progress has been a bit slower than we had hoped as I have been away on business for much of the last month, but we are pretty much there now.
We are aiming to race at Thruxton on 12 Sept and at Spa on 4 Oct

wasn't scoring points andy just thought you might see the humour in the situation. obviously not. apologies for that. the sags in britcar did look gorgeous whilst they were out, shame they couldnt take the fight further but im sure they will with a bit more fettling, these things do take time and money of course. we know there's good pace in our own t350 but can we heck as like get even a sprint distance out of it at the moment.

A big thanks from Tim and I and the Team to all of you who were so supportive of us this weekend. We had so many fellow racers, spectators, marshalls and stewards come up to us to compliment the Team on how amazing the cars looked and it was hugely appreciated.
It was great to be out again with the TVR's in qually and indeed the cars went pretty well on the Saturday given that was really the first time out the box. We're really optimistic that we're close to cracking it now (please!) and think there's a lot to come from these cars in time.
Once again, thanks for the support and good wishes it's thoughts like that which help to keep us motivated.

It's certainly proved to be a challenge but I guess that's part of why we go racing! We just need a bit more of the racing and it'll all seem worthwhile.Yep, Tim was taking it fairly easy in the race, pacing it carefully to see how the car performs when heat really starts to build up. 90 mins is a long time when you've never done more than a 15-20 min stint in the cars beforehand. The good news is the car responded well when he wanted to push on a bit and he feels quite confident that there would've been more pace to come had his race not been cut short. Still, one step at a time but overall a lot of positives to take away from the weekend.
What's the score with your car at the moment?
Thanks very much Kevan, it was good to see you and meet Mat. You should be very proud of what you guys have done with the Tuscan, it looks great and I'm sure you'll get more and more speed out of her.
Yes young Alex rather likes your car, so if you ever need a spare driver give him some notice so he can get his ARDS and I'm sure he'd be pleased to help out!
