Ferrari F1 Drivers for 2010

So if MS is fit enough to race the F60 for the rest of the season and assuming he does quite well, what chances of him wanting to race a full season in 2010? If he did, would Ferrari take him over Kimi, Massa or Alonso? Your thoughts please?

My Money is on Massa and Alonso. Kimi is too depressed to carry on in F1 and I don't think MS will want to carry on, he probably realises he is getting on.

It's a hard one to judge. However, is it worth £20,000,000 not to have Raikkonen?
If they are paying Kimi off, I think we'll see Kubica in the second seat, alongside Felipe.
If not, and they wait until his contract expires, it'll be perfect for them, as Fernando's runs out at the same time.

I don't think Alonso would sign up to drive alongside Kubica. He would probably be less worried by Massa, Raikkonen..... or Rossi....

Alonso will be the year after next given the need for Ferrari to pay off Kimi and Alonso to buy his way out of Renault.

So Massa and Kimi next year ...

Wow, that's a pretty fierce comment.
But there's no way Ferrari would take a risk on him. They have the best doctors in the world on hand to examine him and make that decision for them. If they pass him clear to fit, then he'll be racing. If there's the slightest chance whatsoever of his vision having been impaired, well, bye-bye Phil.

The Massa situation is interesting. Ferrari will obviously want to give him every chance to get back in the car for next season and thus will delay finding a replacement, but will also want to snap up a decent driver if he becomes available. They could be a lot of uncertainty between the end of this season and the start of the next with drivers holding out for the possible vacant seat and yet possibly losing their own if they don't re-sign.

Spanish bank Santander to be confirmed as Ferrari's principle sponsor for 2010+ during the Monza GP race weekend, opening the way for Alonso to join. Might also mean a return to Ferrari red instead of the Marlboro orangey-red they currently have.

It was, although it's much more red now (in the carbon) than it ever was when Schumi was behind the wheel.

Even though I've always said Alonso won't end up in a Fandango, it certainly seems as though that will be the case next year. With Felipe would be my guess.
