There is probably a reason why he has been the 'test' driver for 10 years and not an actual driver....

He has the same opinion as Niki Lauda then. And just about everyone else in the paddock. No harm in that. I am surprised it is not Gene though.

I'd say they'll see how Badoer goes for a race or two and then maybe give Gene a shot. I'd say they might surprise us though, remember Salo in the Ferrari?

That doesn't read to me like Monti was referring to Badoer, who is 38 and can therefore hardly be described as young.

Yes, but Salo was good, the Tyrrell was not, the Ferrari was.
