just the one car from happy endings, still undecided about testing,

Sadly No 3 won't be there for cost and logistic reasons. We had never planned to do Cadwell and Anglesey although I would love to race at Anglesey as I am told it is a great circuit.

After lessons learnt at Castle Combe we are going to address some safety issues on the car and we have to find out where the engine is losing water so we have work to do. We will be at Oulton for the end of term gathering so see you there.

Hi TVR Owner. Yes I'm happy to share my concerns. I bought an ATL Fuel Cell early this year with non return/inversion valve and internal pumps and because I am lazy I had not fitted it. I have decided to fit it before I race the car again. I am afraid the fuel tanks in Tuscans have always been very crude. Tim Hood suffered a nasty fire in his in 2005 (I think) when the bumps at Castle Combe dislodged the filler hose and Giles Cooper's car was burnt out in testing at Castle Combe following a tank fire some years ago.

Thanks for that HUI, wasn't aware there was a history of the Tuscans catching fire other than the very early cars.

surely the moral of the story is not to race a tuscan at castle combe!



although I am looking at fuel cells in a very different light now.

Is there any concerns over the roll cages fitted too Hugh? I bought a tuscan race cage to adapt for my S for track days and when I saw how corroded it was internally I refused to fit it. Plus some of the welding was quite poor and not all the way around the joints either where it had previously been sleeved down to the floor plates (which were also heavily corroded and very thin). Is there a time span on roll cages to take into account internal corrosion? What I saw inside my cage left me cold.

Back on topic.. engine coming out of T350 today ready for delivery to engine builder at the weekend to hopefully sort this oil leak once and for all! So we should be at Anglesey all things being equal

I have not heard of any problems about roll cages which I think were made by Roll Centre.

Got a problem, Matt tells me the engine is way down on compression after combe and we have an oil breather problem we think the rings may be on the way out. I can't afford a rebuild at present so i may miss anglesey and save it for oulton park instead

Well while I've been away Joo has been very busy with the T350, I think the re-install will be completed today hopefully followed by a Mallory test in a week or so. If all ok we'll be at Anglesey.
