Name the world's best racetracks and corners...

Trying to pull a list together of the best / most famous bits of some of the world's best / most famous racetracks.

So far i've got:

• Brands Hatch (Paddock)
• Brooklands (Byfleet Banking)
• Croft (Tower / Complex)
• Goodwood (Woodcote)
• Silverstone (Copse)
• Spa (Eau Rouge)
• Nurburgring (Carousel)
• Le Mans(Mulsanne / Tetre Rouge)
• Suzuka (130R)
• Laguna Seca (Corkscrew)

Which obvious ones am I leaving out?

The old Anglessey circuit, I raced all over the country and for some reason I always loved going back there!

Oh and Oulton Park, the double right hander round the back of the circuit under the tree's (forget it's name), but if you get that one wrong your hitting a wall!

Slightly off topic, but I think that it is a real shame that modern F1 tracks don't name their significant corners.

There are some quite interesting points to many modern circuits, however they are not really remembered as they are annonymous.

I hate the Carosel... it's an annoying section of the track that just gets in the way. There are much better corners at the ring.

I hate the Carosel... it's an annoying section of the track that just gets in the way. There are much better corners at the ring.

It is very famous though.

Aye this is a man who put a pair of home made 'rockets' on his motorbike for a 'highest up the hill' competition.
Or after a policeman spotted a box of Gellingite in the back of his van in the town centre, and having to go to the court... the Judge said 'i dont care what the barristor says, i think this is a most dangerous substance to have on our streets' Batesy took to be his cue. whipped a stick out of his pocket, rapped it on the table and broke it in two and said 'you dont call that dangerous now? do you?'

(or before another set of magistraits was fined £2 for another 'misdeminor' the the thing was he was due round at the house of the Magistrate who had told him the fine to blow up a few tree stumps... the magistrate said 'dont worry about the fine lad, put it on your bill, i hadn't had such a laugh in court in ages!')

It is very horrible though. Literally the worst of the 72 (or whatever number you wish to use) bends on the circuit.
You want famous: Flugplatz and Fuchsrohre (the "Foxhole") are well-known, great bends.

Best corners at the 'ring for me would be Flugplatz, Brunnchen, Fuchsrohre, and Pflanzgarten 3.

At Spa I think Pouhon is as good as Eau Rouge.

Whats good, or famous about Tower at croft? Crappy circuit IMO.

Now, a proper track - Cadwell. Please can I offer The Gooseneck as a fantastic, challenging and ultimately rewarding bit of cornerage.

Oh, and the Mount, although it's not really a corner =)

Just curious - what do you think of as being the "3" part? (And don't tell me that you've got a "4". )

For me PF3 is the section just after the 2nd jump. It is in effect a series of very slight bends that you can straight line once you know the circuit but have some great cambers on them and do take some driving in my opinion.
