Britcar 500 Spectator Price

I appreciate this probably won't apply to many on here as most people are connected to teams and therefore will be there by default. But...

£25/30?!

I'm not against paying a reasonable amount for a good event, but this does seem somewhat excessive, to say the least. The Le Mans 1000km this weekend is cheaper than that, £30 is pushing up towards Goodwood FoS Friday sort of prices, in short - a lot.

I know the argument is that you get two days worth of racing, but if you just want to see the Britcar 500, there is no cheaper option.

£20 is the sort of price I believe people would be willing to pay on the gate, particuarly for an evening in October which could go one of two ways as far as the weather is concerned. £30, sad to say I'm going to have to give it a miss this year.

There are all sorts of deals, two for the price of one, club offers if you sign on the britcar web, camping, saturday express and the friday sport....all you need to do is look on the gate it is always expessive even at LeMans.

James do you have a link pls. I used the link on the Britcar website for spectators which took me to the Silverstone website. Also, will spectators be able to drive in through the main gate this year or do you need a special pass?

There is a deal available if you telephone Silverstone direct.

You can get 2 for 1, i.e 2 weekend tickets for £30.

Though they do charge £3 on top to cover the postage etc. Still a hell of a lot of racing for you and a mate at £16.50 each.

You need to quote "SILV09"

Can someone please tell me if the ticket will allow you to park inside the circuit or do you have to park outside?

Usually for the 24 hour race spectators had to park outside so I guess for the six hour it'll be the same.

Spectators parking is outside the main gates at the entrance to Silverstone. Campers can bring their cars in with them.

I'm a csma member and it's £5 for an adult weekend ticket I think the member offer is 83% off so am heading up with a car load need to sort camping though weather dependabt. Does the camp site behind the start finish line have showers??

Dont get me started on tickets, Silverstone ALMS was £25 that was ok and free for my 13 year lad, Then was offered a Pitlane pass (me hmmmm ok then another £20) Then after the transaction was told my son would need a pass, having just bought one I had to buy another. Found the que for the pitlane joined which turned out to be 'mid' way in the end, then after entry was called out after 12mins. Is this norm ? what a rip off. Extra £40 for 12mins. However the views of the car in the garages were stunning, but even so.

We make sure the backs of all the garages are open all the time so you get good access to the cars

Cannot wait going to be a really good day out. £5 for tickets is a cracking offer.

I love walking through not the pit lane but the tented garages which are free in the middle of the track

All I want is a Saturday only ticket, why can I not get one ?

Britcar website says : Weekend Tickets are at 2 for the price of 1!!! £30!
Print of voucher and it says : Offer price is £35 for 2 tickets.

Britcar Website says : Even if you are only planning on coming for the main race on the Saturday, with these offers it is cheaper to get weekend tickets for 2 people rather than day tickets for the Saturday!
Silverstone says : There are no day tickets for Saturday.


Also, what if you are going on your own on Saturday (which I was to meet some friends there) ? You are being forced into giving someone £15 for a Sunday ticket that you aren't even going to use (nor want).

Rip off !!

Shame really, I was looking forward to seeing Britcar, but if Silverstone want to rip me off for the privledge, I don't think I shall bother.

By trying to con me into giving more money, they are now getting no money from me, they should do well in business eh

When did Silverstone loose the ability to do a proper job of selling tickets ? What a shambles !!

Or they could sell a day ticket for, say, £10 on the friday and the person then pitches up in the campsite for the weekend and doesn't leave the track so they get a weekend of entertainment for the price of a day...

£30 for 2 weekend tickets was the advance ticket price, as it stated on all the offers, such as the leaflets and print adverts which finished on Thursday 1st October (as stated on the Silverstone website). The print off voucher is for on the day prices which are £35 for a weekend ticket (or £35 for 2 when you present the voucher at the ticket booth). Again also this was indicated on the voucher in the cut off section.
