Well, it's only a week away now. With an absolute s
t-storm surrounding F1 these last couple of weeks, what the "sport" needs is a good clean race.
So, down to the important stuff; Food!
Mrs 644 has declared that chinese takeaway is close enough so that is that. No Beer aparently as it is supposed to lower your
count.

sorry for a mini-thread hijack.
as RB are coming with a new aero package, that'll leave them with an old aero kit that worked very well at some tracks.
are the teams allowed to have several packages that they can pick and choose from depending on the type of track, instead of just trying to tweak their latest version to suit each track at a time?

They can run the chassis/aero package of their choice, McLaren running both long and short chassis earlier in the year & Force India's low drag spec cars for the last two races being goog examplesas RB are coming with a new aero package, that'll leave them with an old aero kit that worked very well at some tracks.

Unlikely, they have a very low drag car when run without high downforce package. Spa and Monza are the only tracks with low downforce used. Before that at other tracks where they had to run more downforce they couldn't generate enough to give them quick lap times. If you start as (possibly) the lowest drag car on the grid in basic trim you have to have more downforce added than others to get the same effect as the others and they haven't been able to add enough for it to work. Even with as much downforce as they can get on the car they have still been fast through the speed traps, good but it kills the overall lap times through all the corners where the downforce and grip is essential.FourWheelDrift said:

thank you.makes engine limits seem a little redundant if they can design several different cars per season

The long and short chassis. Can you give some more info please. Sounds interesting. Is the wheelbase different, for example?
Different wishbones to change the wheelbase. Or the bellhousing and input shaft can be shorter for the short wheelbase cars. It won't be a massively different wheelbase length, perhaps 100mm at the most.Project 644 said:
