The Moore Racing Mosler was pulled from Race 2 because BGT wouldn't let Phil Keen race it on his own. They were quite happy to let Dave Shelton drive it in Race 1.
So the rules are (invitation class) - you can have a fast car, just so long as nobody fast drives it.
Says a lot for the premier GT series in the UK doesn't it.

That wasn't the reason given over the Tannoy So the rules are (invitation class) - you can have a fast car, just so long as nobody fast drives it.

I can't remember the exact reason but it certainly wasn't that.
All very sad, excluding the Moslers from the series in the first place and then if what you say is true, effectively excluding them from the invitation class too. Real shame as I only went on the Sunday and would have loved to have seen it running - it looked like a nicely turned out car.
The Heritage Grand Tourer grid was real thin (16 cars? - looking at the programme) - what happened there, they always used to get good grids.
Phil didn't qualify the car, he wasn't there on the Saturday, he could only make Sunday and he was sharing the drive. There will be a good reason why he wasn't allowed to run.
The car looked fantastic though, greta paint job and all credit to the team who put so much work into it to get it out for the event.

The reason for the Mosler not running was apparently a gearbox issue. It ran in the warm up, with Keen driving it.
The Heritage GT field was thinned by incidents on Saturday.
Overall i found this years bgt season very dissapointing. Mired by politics and bad decisons.
If somone asked me to recommend them a british based GT series i would point them to either GTCup or Britcar....

The grids have been very very poor this year in British GT and allot of that is due to the cost and I think previous complacency within the SRO organisation. That seems to me to be changing now though thank god. However, there is no doubt that British GT as a brand or status holds significantly more credability than Britcar or GT Cup in the sport as a whole and that wont change for some time.
Personaly speaking I realy enjoyed our first outing in British GT despite the grid size and being punted off by an Aston Martin "passenger" who then did'nt have the guts to applogise to my team for giving them another late night. It was one of the best organised meetings I've done in a long time and the format also works very well so baring something unforseen we will be back next year and looking forward to it.
